Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 October 2026

Navi Singh Aujla is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information responsibly.

This Privacy Policy explains how I collect, use, store and disclose personal information when providing business advisory, coaching, workshops and related professional services.

I handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and the New Zealand Information Privacy Principles.

1Information I may collect

I only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary to provide my services or operate my business.

Depending on how you work with me, this may include:

I will not intentionally collect more personal information than I reasonably need for the purpose for which it is being collected.

2How I collect information

I will usually collect personal information directly from you, including through:

In some circumstances, information may be provided by another person or organisation, such as a referral partner, programme provider or organisation engaging me to work with you.

Where required, I will take reasonable steps to make you aware when personal information about you has been collected from another source.

3Why I collect and use your information

I may use your personal information to:

Where I am delivering services through another organisation or funded programme, I may also collect or report information reasonably required to administer that programme, measure outcomes or meet agreed reporting requirements. Where possible, reporting will be aggregated or de-identified unless identifiable information is reasonably required and permitted.

I will not use your personal information for an unrelated purpose unless you have authorised that use or it is otherwise permitted or required by law.

4Confidentiality and disclosure

Information you share with me through an advisory or coaching engagement will be treated as confidential.

I will not disclose your personal information to another person or organisation except where:

Where appropriate, contractors and service providers will only receive the information reasonably necessary for them to perform their role.

5Third-party and cloud services

I use third-party technology and service providers to operate my business and deliver services. These may include cloud storage, email, video conferencing, scheduling, customer relationship management, document management, accounting, invoicing, payment and other business software.

This means personal information may sometimes be stored or processed by third-party providers.

Some providers may store information outside New Zealand. Where personal information is disclosed to an overseas person or organisation, I will take reasonable steps to ensure the disclosure complies with the Privacy Act 2020, including the requirements relating to overseas disclosure of personal information.

6Security and storage

I take reasonable steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.

This may include using password-protected systems, access controls, secure cloud-based platforms and other reasonable technical and administrative safeguards.

No method of electronic communication or storage is completely risk-free. If a privacy breach occurs that has caused, or is likely to cause, serious harm, I will take the steps required under the Privacy Act 2020, including notifying the Office of the Privacy Commissioner and affected individuals where required.

7Retaining information

I will retain personal information only for as long as it is reasonably required for the purposes for which it was collected, to maintain appropriate business records, or to meet legal or contractual obligations.

When information is no longer reasonably required, I may securely delete, destroy or de-identify it.

8Information about other people

If you provide me with personal information about another person, you are responsible for ensuring that you are authorised to provide that information and that doing so complies with applicable privacy requirements.

I will use that information only for the purposes for which it was provided, unless another use is authorised or permitted by law.

9Accessing or correcting your information

You have the right to ask for access to personal information I hold about you and to request that it be corrected if you believe it is inaccurate or incomplete.

To make an access or correction request, please contact me using the details below. I will respond to your request within 20 working days of receiving it, in line with the Privacy Act 2020. If I need more time or further information to respond, I will let you know.

10Marketing communications

If you request a free resource from my website, I will email it to you.

I will only send you tips, new resources, newsletters or other marketing emails if you have asked for them, for example by ticking the box on a sign-up form, or have otherwise agreed to receive them. I keep a record of when and how you gave that consent.

Every marketing email I send identifies me and includes a way to unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time, or email me and I will stop sending them.

I will not sell your personal information to third parties.

11Website information

When you use my website, some technical information is collected automatically through website hosting and analytics. This includes things like your device and browser type, the pages you visit, how you arrived at the site, your general location (such as city or region) and the buttons or links you click.

I use this information to understand how my website is being used and to improve its content and performance.

Google Analytics. I use Google Analytics to measure how people use my website. It uses cookies and similar technologies. I do not use it to identify you, and I do not send it your name or email address. You can stop Google Analytics collecting information about your visits by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Hosting. My website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical information such as your IP address to deliver the site and protect it from misuse.

Booking a call. Bookings are made through Calendly. Calendly collects the details you enter on its booking page, under its own privacy policy, and shares the booking details with me.

Free resources. When you request a free resource, your first name, email address, the resource you chose and your email preference are sent through Make, an automation service, to my Google Workspace account and my HubSpot customer relationship management system. I use Gmail to email you the resource.

Some of these providers store or process information outside New Zealand, including in the United States and Europe. Section 5 explains how I handle this.

12Changes to this Privacy Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to my services, systems or legal obligations.

The latest version will be published on my website with the date it was last updated.
